Charles
S. Ghadban, President & CEO
Charles
is a senior member of the
organization’s Tax
and Business Advisory Team.
Working in conjunction
with the firm's team of
professionals, he helps
individuals and small businesses
optimize their tax and
cash positions. With his
extensive tax, accounting,
and business knowledge,
he reduces exposure to
unfavorable audit risk
through proper tax planning
and implementation strategies.
Charles
earned the coveted Certified
Management Accountant (CMA)
designation in 1997. He
received his Bachelor of
Commerce (Honours) in Accounting
from Carleton University
in 1996 and was awarded
Excellence in Accounting
from the Certified General
Accountants (CGA) Association.
He previously earned a
Diploma in Business Administration
in Accounting from Algonquin
College in 1991, where
he had made the Dean’s
Honour List and was encouraged
to become a Certified Accountant
by his professors. He
also holds Associate Membership
in the Association of Certified
Fraud Examiners and hopes
to become certified in
this area as well.
Being
a charitable and giving
individual, Charles has
held the position of Treasurer
for many non-profit organizations
and is currently a member
of the Board of Directors
of the Better Business
Bureau (BBB) of Ottawa.
He is also active in the
Ottawa Tax Practitioners
Advisory Committee with
the Canada Revenue Agency
(CRA) where he raises various
issues and concerns experienced
first hand in the tax industry. He
has also served as Practice
Inspector for the Society
of Management Accountants
in conducting quality peer
reviews.
